Summary:
The story takes place a year after the Woodsboro Murders, in New York City. Laura Crane, a film professor, is waiting for her date in a bar. Her date messages her, saying he is lost, and she talks to him on the phone. He says he sees her and is on his way, but then he tells her someone with a knife is following him. Laura runs to meet him, but the killer, who is revealed to be her student Jason, kills her.
Jason goes back to his room where he and his friend Greg were fans of a movie they wanted to finish. But Greg is killed, and Ghostface attacks Jason. Jason asks the killer about their movie, but Ghostface says movies don’t matter before killing him.
