Microblogging platform Twitter has been bought by the world's richest man Elon Musk for $44 billion.

Elon Musk can take help of some investors. After his initial offer to buy Twitter, Musk said at a TED event that he "intends to retain as many shareholders as permitted by law."

He wrote in the tweet that free speech is very important for any democracy to work. Twitter is a digital town square

Twitter can also work on making its direct message powerful. It can be designed as a searchable and encrypted messaging system.

Musk bought a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter this month. Then he became the largest shareholder of Twitter.

Musk bought Twitter for $54.20 per share. Even at this price, it has been a profitable deal for Musk.

Twitter's stock hit a 52-week high of $73.34 per unit. Accordingly, this purchase of Musk has been cheap at $ 19.14 per share.
